Independent Living

If you’re like most of our residents, you’ll be active and independent with a busy diary and a full social life.

Living at Woodchester Valley Village enables you to enjoy your life your way, without all the pressures usually associated with home ownership.

The exterior maintenance and decorating of your home, and the upkeep of the gardens, grounds and exterior lighting are all taken care of for you. You won’t need to wait in for deliveries or arrange for house sitters when you go on holiday either.

If you prefer not to drive, the village minibus will take you to neighbouring towns or places further afield. And, although you may be mostly too busy to eat in our restaurant, it’s handy for those days when when you don’t feel like cooking, or would like some company.

For most of the time, you may not have much need for our services, but it’s good to know they’re available whenever you need them.

Assisted Living

We’ll help you maintain your independence in your own home by giving you some extra support.

Although there is no care home at the Village, many of our residents arrange private, more personal, care when needed.

You’ll have the reassurance of being part of our community, with staff providing on-call support, and lots of friendly residents nearby to keep you company.

You can take advantage of all or some of the extra support services we offer, for a modest charge. Our Village Manager will be happy to give you more details about this.
