Live here and you’ll not only have a wonderful home, you’ll have a say in how the village is run.
Woodchester Valley Village is mutually owned and run solely for the benefit of the residents who, as a community, own the freehold of the entire village.
It was previously known as Crystal Fountain Village and was owned by a company that went into administration in 2010. The residents battled long and hard to buy the freehold from the administrators with the intention of running it as a mutual.
A place to be proud of
This was finally achieved in October 2013, and gaining ownership of the freehold has been well worth the huge effort. Residents are now actively involved in the way the village is run and participate in making the major decisions that affect them. Our Directors are elected from among our residents and their families, and there are regular company Board Meetings and quarterly General Meetings. All leaseholders may attend and exercise their voting rights on the topics that concern them.
This is now a vibrant village with close connections to the surrounding local community. The fact that it’s owned by the residents and run solely for the residents, with no profits being taken by an external owner, is a source of great pride and pleasure for everyone here.
Come and join us. We’re looking forward to welcoming you.
